Bing struggled to set itself apart from Google. In most consumer’s mind, it was a “me too” product at best and a butt of jokes at worst. Our goal was to raise their profile on social media with the long-term goal of growing market share.

Solution

In organic social posts, we partnered with the Bing Data Analytics team to demonstrate some of Bing’s early AI functionality that set them apart from Google. Bing could do more than give you data, it could interpret it, too. To make it compelling to the general public, those data interpretations were in the form of predictions (#BingPredicts) for events like the NCAA tournament, the Oscars, NASCAR, and the NBA finals.
